Last week, I spent the afternoon with Preeti Waas, who is the owner and baker at Sugar and Spice. Raleigh foodies probably know her from the Midtown Market and Market on Market. She has a great line of  jams that needed some new product photography, so we set up a few shots at Gather Studios in Downtown Cary.

These jams are organic with no artificial ingredients. You can positively taste the difference between these preserves and what you would buy at a supermarket. The nuanced flavors keep your taste buds on their toes and the all natural ingredients are guilt free. You can spread them on some sourdough toast or use them as filling for a modern cake, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't just eat them straight from the jar with a spoon.

This jam is called "Sally," a delightful combination of strawberries and basil.

Rosalind: Raspberry Rose. This flavor combination will surprise you. I don't generally go for floral notes, but this has a very bold raspberry flavor that is only lightly seasoned by mild hints of rose. It's actually my favorite of the ones I tasted. Mind. Blown.
