I just want to genuinely thank you to everyone who came out to the opening day of the Apex Farmers Market on Saturday. This was my very first public facing event and I have not been in a customer service position for years. I was super nervous to be on display like that, but luckily there was nothing to be nervous about. My table is way back in the shade, so it will be really nice in the hot hot summertime!
We had a great morning with many awesome vendors. My neighbor booth, Just A Little Spice, had lots of great dip samples and they will be back with more great treats on festival days. Kids from the music school Bach to Rock provided fun music performances -I was honestly impressed with the talent! I didn't get to explore all of the vendors, but I know there were natural hygiene products, fresh seafood, plant vendors, produce, a guest chef, bread, a beverage stand, food trucks, and more. It's seriously a great group this year, thanks to the new market manager Alexis Jenssen, and I'm really excited to be part of it.
Next week Triangle Pastry Co will have a few different items. Stay tuned to social media for updates.
The strawberry ricotta cheesecake galette was definitely the most popular item, followed by the palmiers and morning buns, so those will definitely make another appearance. I still can't believe that the chocolate galettes were not the first pastries to sell out. I'm going to give them another chance. They're drool-worthy delicious. Can I just emphasize... these chocolate galettes are from scratch puff pastry shells wrapped around a mildly spiced fudge-like smooth dark chocolate ganache style filling. They're very rich and perfectly sharable. I recommend splitting one with your BFF. ;-)
Many visitors to the market asked where our shop is located. Y'all... this is IT and I hope to see your beautiful smiles every Saturday!
