Apex Farmers Market Opening Day
Whew... just got back from a whirlwind trip to California where my BFF (the brains behind my smart t-shirts) got married on the picturesque Santa Monica beach. It was a lovely time full of beautiful dresses, fancy-pants manicures, blowouts (hair, that is), delicious food (taco bars and bottomless margaritas -whaaaaat), and commemorative photos for the gram (or, you know, albums). If you notice succulents on the window sill in my office when you pick up your pastries, those are my living souvenirs from my fantastic vacation.
And jet lag is real, guys. I'm kind of tired, I'm not going to lie. But I'm super driven by the energy I'm generating by being excited about the opening day for the Apex Farmers Market coming up this Saturday, April 21. Here, I'd like to mention a great write up on our gem of a market manager, Alexis Jenssen, by UNC Journalist Brighton McConnell. It's always nice to see inspiring people highlighted in our community. Let's spread the sunshine!
I'm ready to set up the table and serve some yummy croissants and other tasty pastry things. We're going to start with a basic menu and flesh it out over the next few weeks based on what everyone is most interested in. We will have some samples and we'll also have two drawings for pastry boxes that can be entered until the end of the market day (which is 12:30pm), and the winners can pick up their treats at the market on Saturday, April 28th. See you there!
